Sian Booth - Chair
Sian is a Hull University Graduate with 10 years experience in arts marketing, communications and public engagement. For the last 4 years Sian has been delivering strategic Marketing and Communications leadership for Doncaster’s theatre, Cast.
Sian has an active volunteering life as a Governor for Doncaster’s University Technical College; Adoption Panel member for Doncaster Children’s Service and is a breastfeeding peer support mentor. Sian also runs a small charity with her twin sister aimed at growing attachment with families who come together through fostering and adoption.

Sian lives in Sheffield with her husband and young son.

On joining The Roaring Girls board, Sian says "I’m chuffed! The Roaring Girls embody the spirit of modern feminism and what it means to navigate womanhood today. I’ve no doubt that their success to date is just the floor and not the ceiling of their potential and I look forward to playing my part in their inclusive, assertive and joyful future."
Sam Chegwin
Sam (also known as Mum, depending on who you ask!) fuels her days with tea, and she knows she's winning if she gets a hot cup! She is currently raising her 2 babies (ages 2 and 5), and studying for Masters in Education Inclusion and Special Needs in the evenings. Sam is interested in vintage make-up and fashion, and she blooming loves good charity shop.

On joining The Roaring Girls' board, Sam says "I'm super excited to be sitting on the Roaring Girls; board because I'm passionate about what they do and how they do it, and quite frankly who wouldn't want to hang out with such inspirational women?!"


Beth Goddard
Beth trained in Arts Management and spent over a decade working in the arts, using creativity as a catalyst for individual, organisational and societal change. She now works as a facilitator / coach helping to ‘develop the leaders of the future’.
As a passionate advocate for social change, Beth is thrilled to be joining the Board of The Roaring Girls enabling her to reconnect with the power of impactful storytelling, and be in a position to actively make her own contribution.

Allen Morley
Allen is a retired Finance Director, having worked in the UK, Europe and the USA throughout his career. From being one of the first to be involved in the introduction of Investors in People in Hull in the 90’s, running a youth football team, being a mentor for 6th form students and start-up businesses, Allen has always had a passion for developing people’s potential.

Hannah Scorer
Intersectional feminist, rabid hater of diet culture, recent and wildly enthusiastic theatre convert. Public health communications specialist, former journalist, would-be writer. Parent, climber, and yogi with an unbroken record for requesting to pet every dog she's ever seen.

Hannah says she is "thrilled to be on the board because what The Roaring Girls do is life-changing, and I can now formally commit to making sure as many people as possible see them. "

Tessa Walker
Tessa is a director and a dramaturg. She has directed numerous productions by a wide variety of playwrights and has been an Associate Director at Birmingham Rep, the Literary Associate at National Theatre Scotland and a Literary Director at Paines Plough.

Tessa is excited to be joining The Roaring Girls' board and to be able to support them on the next, very exciting stage of their adventure.
